I have mixed feelings about this. On the plus side, we get to see Charley opening up the emotional side of herself more, instead of constantly hiding it behind wisecracks. (Now she only hides it behind wisecracks about 85% of the time.) And the relationship between her and Reyes heats up like woah.Downsides were that the plot seemed kind of meandering, and Reyes's character is going in such a typical romance hero direction. And there was a sense of the story arc being thinned out to squeeze more books in.Still, in many ways I liked this more than any since the first one; it was unusually emotionally satisfying for this series.
