This chronicles the life of 40 year old Theo as he slowly crawls out of his overwhelming grief over the loss of his long-time lover. There are the bones of a good story here, but way too much padding for my tastes -- numerous characters and subplots, lots of "tell" instead of "show, and sections that reminded me of a young adult problem novel. I confess, I skimmed a fair bit about office politics and hijinks (with liberal amounts of sequel baiting) until the actual romance got going. I think the author was aiming for something that felt like a serious novel, but the pacing was off and it didn't hang together very well. Parts were very moving though, and Theo's online relationship with the mysterious Morgan held my interest.
