Ash, a slick party-boy/tattoo artist -- this seemed an odd combo to me, but what do I know? -- is instantly smitten with geeky but hot Fee. Unfortunately, Fee shoots him down, so Ash turns to a manual for advice on how to land his geek. This was cute, though kind of bland. I disliked the "manual" sections at first -- they felt inauthentic to me, more like an attempt to cash in on a trend than truly expressing geek culture. But they grew on me after a bit. The story is pretty low-kay, with minor conflicts like jealousy, and Ash's fear that Fee will reject him because of his wild past, but it kept my interest.
