A pleasant short read about a woman returning home after her husband's white collar crimes leave her destitute. She meets up with her old high school crush Mike, who had never dared make a move on her when she was one of the rich kids, and also makes a bad enemy. The writing in this story was much better than in the previous book in the series I'd tried, but the storytelling falters towards the end. Both the suspense element and the romance are resolved too quickly and easily. I also found it hard to believe the characters in the story are supposed to be in their forties; they seemed much younger. Not immature, just not like they'd had the amount of life experiences you'd expect.
