The very first Diana Palmer I ever read. Looking at my PBS review makes me smile -- how innocent I was! Little did I know that this was just the classic Palmer style... or that I would become bizarrely addicted to it."I thought this book was pretty terrible. The writing is very terse, like an outline without any details. The hero has a major Madonna/Whore complex, which is pretty ironic considering the book's villain is the father who used to beat the heroine if she ever smiled at a boy. Chances are, this book's hero will behave just like that to his daughters. Ugh."
