You know, I love a romance in which the hero is a real jerk and hurts the heroine and then has to feel horrible about it. That’s loads of fun. But when he keeps on doing it, over and over, I start to think maybe the heroine should kick him to the curb. And when he gets mad at her for doing so, and every other character in the book gets mad at her too, and they all think she should ask for forgiveness instead of applauding her for dumping the bastard, I start to think maybe I should kick the book to the curb.I’ll slightly grudgingly give it 2 stars, because the writing was compelling enough to keep me from throwing it against the wall, and there were some warm family relationships that I liked.
