I found this on my keeper shelves, next to beloved Michaels books like Shattered Silk and Into the Darkness and realized I didn’t have the faintest memory of it. Reading it, it was clear that I had read it before, probably several times, yet I had no feelings or impression from those readings; it was like the words had been put in my brain on a computer disk rather than actually read.I suspect now I've picked it up thinking "I should reread this and see if I really want to keep it," started it, and then got bored and put it back many times. This time I forced myself through and well, at least it's one less book to take up space. It's readable and the plot is kind of interesting, but what unpleasant characters! Including the narrator/heroine--the way she bosses around the downtrodden housecleaner is really nasty. I didn't enjoy spending time with anyone in this book and was glad when it was over.
